Your stay

1. Getting to know each other
During a detailed initial consultation, we record your concerns and discuss the various options together in order to achieve the desired goal. After a thorough clinical examination with photo documentation, supplemented by a 3D X-ray and, if necessary, the preparation of dental models, a treatment plan can be designed and the necessary steps defined.

Existing alternatives, advantages and disadvantages, implications and risks, and potential costs are presented transparently so that you can calmly make an informed decision on the desired treatment, with knowledge of all the facts.

2. Preparation
As soon as you have decided on a specific treatment and written consent has been obtained, the corresponding appointments can be arranged. In the case of compulsory health insurance subsidies, the necessary cost approvals can be obtained. Where necessary, additional examinations can be arranged with your family doctor or another specialist with regard to anaesthesia, so that nothing stands in the way of safe treatment.

3. Day of treatment
On the day of treatment, you will be met by our team and accompanied to the appropriate rooms. Minor procedures under local anaesthesia take place in our treatment room where, after discussing any remaining questions with the surgeon, you will be treated in a usual dental setting, but under sterile conditions as required for all surgical procedures. At the end of the treatment, you will be given all the necessary medication and guidelines to follow after surgery and can leave the practice immediately.

For outpatient general anaesthesia, you will be directed to our comfortable patient room, where you can change. The anaesthetist in charge will be happy to answer any final questions about the anaesthesia and will then accompany you to our certified practice operating theatre, where the anaesthetic is administered and the planned operation is performed.

After the operation, you will remain in our patient room for a while for monitoring to ensure that you have absorbed the anaesthetic well, have been mobilised for the first time under the care of the nursing staff and that you are fit to be discharged in good conscience. Here, too, you will be given all the necessary medication and guidelines before you are discharged. We also ask you to make sure that a companion can pick you up, as driving a vehicle shortly after anaesthetic is not allowed.

4. Inpatient hospitalisation
For major procedures under general anaesthesia, we offer access to the neighbouring Pyramide am See Clinic or to various other private clinics to which we are accredited. On the day of the operation, you usually report to reception about 2 hours before the scheduled operation. After completing the brief entry formalities, you will then be accompanied to the recovery room by the responsible nurse. There the anaesthetist and the surgeon can answer any final questions before the operation takes place.

After a certain monitoring phase in the recovery room, you will be shown to the comfortable room of your chosen category, where you can enjoy the professional care and all the amenities of a renowned private clinic during your stay.

5. Follow-up
Clinical follow-up visits by the surgeon at our practice usually take place after one, two and four weeks, and then six months, and can be adapted to your situation depending on your needs and individual course.
